Qualifications- Have an interest in culture, health and education research
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student at CSUN (sophomores and juniors are highly encouraged to apply) - OR be a recent B.A. or M.A. graduate of CSUN (and have not enrolled in a graduate program) - Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher - Able to commit for at least one year Benefits- Attain research training in data collection and analyses using a triangulation of methodological techniques, such as survey, interview, and salivary biomarkers of health.
- Acquire experience for entry into graduate programs! - Opportunity to present at campus-wide, regional, and or national conferences - Receive mentorship and professional development training (e.g., help with personal statements) - Network with lab members and faculty |
Responsibilities - Minimum time requirement: 7 to 9 hrs per week
- Attend weekly lab meetings that will be held on Fridays at 9 AM in Fall 2024 (Note: Lab meetings are a requirement.) - Communicate with research participants - Collect and manage research data (e.g., survey, interview, salivary biomarkers of health) - Assist with interview transcriptions - Assist with coding and analyzing data - Assist writing summaries of research findings via abstracts, posters or manuscripts - Conduct literature reviews - Collaborate with lab members on projects |
